Today, I was texting the girl I am in love with. I was dropping hints about liking someone who I didn't know if they liked me back. Flirting a little. And just when I thought she'd say she liked me too, she said "Don't worry, if you were straight, I would definitely date you!". FML.

Who does this remind me of?

Apparently the odds of my losing my job in the next few weeks has gone up to past 80%. My boss is now totally fine if I find somewhere else to work. He told me all this then called up a guy who used to work there to see if I they had any availabilities. apparently no...

At least I'm getting out on good terms. My boss feels really bad about letting me go (or more correctly, the company imploding).

In a wierd turn of luck, I'm having to give up my lease today as well. I had a choice to either keep it, or dump it and today was the deadline. I really love where I live, but it's just got to be this way.

I'm still going to get a new car. Current objective is a camry for under $1500. preferably under 1000. cheap to buy and cheap to run is the objective now...just like your mum.

New york is declared a demiliturised zone, but in reality a massive war still occurs in it as a insurgency, with war-lording etc occuring alot. It's really interesting.

Basic reason is that her and i worked fantastically as FB's, but for a relationship you need to feel a personal connection with someone(even in an open relationship like we had). After we started dating I didn't start feeling that, and neither did she. Only difference was that I felt that you needed to feel some sort of connection and she didn't really see the point of that feeling that when the sex was great. Though she was pretty pissed off at me, and i may have pushed her back into the lesbian camp for a few more years(apparently all men are assholes, prob not the best finding from her first go with the Y chromosome).

I think I made the right choice.
On why Obama is quiet on Iran

The reason why Obama and the US are currently being relatively quiet on the issue of Iran is actually pretty simple. Iran's power group likes to claim that anyone who is against them must be getting their funding and ideology from outside the country(which is a fair cop, given the bad shit that the west was getting up to in iran in the period prior to the late 70's). Obama and co understand this and realise that if they start making a big noise about the Iran's elections being faked then the religious folk who run Iran can say "look at that! Told you, the US is a supporter of these troublemakers!".

Obama and co want to make Iran at least be open with the US, and really don't want the israeli's to bomb the Iranians nuclear facilities because that will just cause a shitstorm and derail Obama's attempt to get israel to pull back from the occupied territories over the next decade (yes, it'll take that long at the very least). If Iran really is just making uranium for the purpose of making energy, then some very basic monitoring of it's reactors and enrichment facilities will confirm this(a truly civilian nuclear reactor makes plutonium that is extremely difficult to turn into weapons, and the weapons that it can make are almost useless from a truly military perspective, which is why North korea still can't produce a nuclear weapon that even approaches the yield that the US had in 1945). This is what Mousavi claims he'll do if elected. Since Iran absolutely should develop nuclear power for energy use (as should most countries that base themselves on cheap energy, especially in a world with plug in hybrids) this would be a viable outcome. That said, I seriously doubt his odds of turning Iran's policy, even if he was elected and all this mess was over tomorrow.

That all said, I don't know enough about Iran's political system to say whether Ahmadinejad would have won the election or not without some vote tampering. It's possible that the Election was similar to the one Russia had a year ago, where the incumbant would have won anyway but they just decided to make doubly sure. But either way, thats the basics of why Obama and co are just "worried about the violence" and other similar comments.

I've recently been brought into the influence of Damien Rice. This song is called the animals were gone. and some lines in it basically can be best described as what sounds to me as beng like what true love is. What I try to articulate it as at least. Sadly, it's also really sad, but still really good.

<lj-embed id="105" />

Another song that also feels like love is Livin life, when sung by the eels, sadly the sound is a bit off in this recording, but you can get the idea out. I've got a way clearer version on my ipod and it sounds great. Simple song, but good song...

<lj-embed id="106" />

hm...I think I should prob shower and go to bed now...

This has been one of the most complicated weekends that I've ever had in the history of my dating life. And people who know me know that's really really saying something.

But things are now relatively good. The worse case scenario was averted and I didn't loose something very important to me.

Anyway, in a random aside, I have decided that even though I may lose my job soon, buying some stock was a great idea (not just cos I bought in within a week or 2 of the bottom). I just received my first distribution. Buying at a market low makes yields extra tasty. Now just gotta wait 3 or 4 months for the market to get ever lower than it was in march. pity I'll prob be unemployed by then.

Oh well, shit happens.

Went to spank, had an ok time. Though there was a bit of a downer...Ok a massive downer while I was out. Got home and looked at my phone.

Then there was some completely unrelated SMS's...

Life likes being complicated. But while being complicated it prefers the old "Yeah, you know the problem you've got...BAM here it is, but much more conflicting.". I need to learn to be more of an asshole to people, it seems to stop complications like this.

Yes this was a very cryptic post.
